UPDATE MARCH 31, 2020
To Our Valued Clients and Guests,

Our hope was to begin reopening AALAM The Salon (Plano & Frisco) on April 1st.
Unfortunately, that will not be the reality.

We hope you are staying safe and healthy during this time of uncertainty.
In response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) developments, we are taking necessary actions to ensure we keep our guest and salon professionals safe.

As we shared earlier this month, we made the decision to temporarily close both AALAM The Salon locations (Plano & Frisco) to help do our part to slow the spread of COVID-19.
Our hope was to begin reopening AALAM The Salon (Plano & Frisco) on April 1st.
Unfortunately, that will not be the reality.

On March 31, Gov. Greg Abbott signed Executive Order GA-14

Governor Orders Non-Essential Businesses to Close.
This new order prohibits services from being provided by persons licensed under Chapter 401, Sections 501-522, Health and Safety Code (Laser Hair Removal) and Chapters 455 (Massage Therapists), 1601 (Barbers), 1602 (Cosmetologists), and 1603 (Barbering and Cosmetology), Occupations Code.

Effective April 1st, Pursuant to Texas Governor Executive Order, in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) developments, we will extend our temporary closure until it is safe to reopen.

It’s clear the situation is evolving, and at this time we don’t know for certain how long our salons will be closed. We will continue to keep you informed as we have news to share.

We will place updates with regards to our opening on our website, aalamsalon.com as well as our social media @aalamsalon (Instagram, Facebook & Twitter) and we can’t wait to see you all soon.

In response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) developments, we are taking necessary actions to ensure we keep our guest and salon professionals safe.

We have made the voluntary decision to temporarily close both AALAM The Salon locations (Plano & Frisco) beginning end of day, Saturday, March 21st.

We will continue to stay closed till 04/01/2020 and will continue to review regularly. The health and safety of our guests and team members is a priority and we want to make sure we all take care of each other during this difficult time.

We care deeply about the health and safety of our clients, employees, and stylists. That is why we want to share the steps we are taking at AALAM The Salon (both Plano & Frisco Locations) in response to the rapid spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus)

As we are still permitted to keep our doors open and serve you, we want our clients to know we’re taking this very seriously and closely monitoring the current situation with COVID-19 (coronavirus) and are committed to taking appropriate steps to navigate this challenging time.

Our Salons

When you visit one of our salons, we strive to ensure you are as comfortable as possible. Getting your hair cut, colored, or styled should be a relaxing and enjoyable experience for you and your stylist.

Please know that cleanliness and sanitization have always been a big part of running our salon, and we already follow strict guidelines from local health departments. However, due to the current situation, our sanitation and hygiene procedures are based on best practices, licensure and current CDC guidelines for preventing the spread of communicable diseases.

• Our team members wash their hands and use hand sanitizer between all clients.
• Our tools and equipment are sanitized and/or disposed of after use.
• Our towels, capes and robes are laundered in washing machine using hot water and detergents.
• All high-touch areas are wiped with disinfectant wipes throughout the day.
• All locations are cleaned and disinfected nightly using hospital-grade disinfectants and during this period we have increased our cleaning protocols to thoroughly disinfect all high-touch areas nightly.
• For now, We’ve changed our ceramic coffee cups and wine glasses to paper and plastic cups.
• We’ve adjusted our hours of operation in order to provide additional time to clean and sanitize the salon.
  By adjusting our hours we hope to continue to best serve you during this uncertain time.

Our Customers

We will remain open during our normal business hours to serve you, however, we may close early if there are no further clients for rest of each day.

We respectfully request that our clients come alone and without additional guests.

We encourage clients to wash their hands immediately after entering the salon.

We kindly request that if  you are displaying symptoms such as fever, sore throat, cough or any flulike symptoms, have traveled outside of the country in the past 14 days or have come in contact with any sick persons please reschedule your appointment.

We understand and request for you to please contact us as early as possible to reschedule. To further support this, we have temporarily suspended our cancellation policy for all appointments and there will be no penalties for cancellation.

As we work through this together, we are committed to providing customers with the information they need to make informed decisions around their salon services. For our customers, our salons are open and our stylists are available.

Best Practices for All to Stay Healthy(from the CDC)

• Stay home when you are sick, especially with flu-like symptoms.
• Wash your hands frequently with warm, soapy water for at least 20 seconds.
• Regularly apply hand sanitizer.
• Cover your mouth with tissues when you sneeze, and discard used tissues in the trash.
• Avoid touching your face (eyes, nose and mouth).
• Avoid hugging, kissing and handshakes whenever possible.
• Clean frequently touched surfaces.
